All CompuWorks Professional Service Contract (PSC) clients are automatically enrolled in our Proactive Service Program (PSP). This collection of systems and services represents the industry’s best practices for managing your technology and minimizing downtime. Components include:

Service Management System
We’ll recommend and implement a system to help you organize, manage and prioritize requests for service, maximizing the utilization of your PSC.

Regularly scheduled visits
Experience has shown that the way to get the most from your PSC dollars is to have a regular schedule of support calls planned in advance. Grouping tasks allows us to minimize unproductive time such as travel. And by scheduling larger blocks of time at your site issues are less likely to require follow up visits.

Backup Audit
One of the most valuable assets your organization has is its data. Industry research clearly indicates that server backup systems can fail and that data is not always fully copied during backup procedure. In fact, 90% of corporate data loss is due to data corruption or user error. Given the catastrophic consequences of unrecoverable data, it is critical to regularly verify the function of backup systems. Our backup audit program includes:

  • An initial audit of your system.
  • Establishment of a systematic methodology for backing-up your data.
  • Training System Administrators in a customized methodology for backing up your data.
  • Creating a schedule for regular visits to check and confirm accuracy of backups.

Virus Protection
Virus attacks can result in lost data and network downtime and costs both in lost revenues and in rebuilding systems. Our virus awareness program is designed to help minimize the chance that a malicious virus will disrupt your operation. CompuWorks will work with you to focus on several key aspects of virus protection. We will assist you in understanding how your network can be affected and what preventative steps you can take. The areas that will be covered are:

  • Regular scan of all server and workstation disk space
  • Real time virus protection installed and configured on servers and workstations
  • Automatic updating of virus definitions to protect against even the newest viruses

Spyware / Adware protection
Spyware has become a crippling problem in many organizations. Our Anti Spyware initiative helps keep your systems free from disruption.

HP Printer Maintenance
CompuWorks makes it easy to keep your Hewlett Packard laser printers operating at peak efficiency. We’ll inventory your printers, setup a maintenance schedule based on HP’s service recommendations and then at pre-determined intervals we’ll automatically perform the required service. Cost for this program is nominal—just a “flat fee” of one half hour per printer for each routine visit billed automatically to your existing support contract.

CompuWorks will also monitor each printer and determine when replacement parts are required. Installation of HP maintenance kits will be scheduled accordingly. Cost for this is approximately one hour of support time plus parts.

Network vulnerability testing
Where appropriate, CompuWorks will conduct a network vulnerability test designed to highlight any holes in security that might allow an intruder to disrupt your network. We’ll provide a written assessment of our findings along with recommended solutions.

Annual Technology Planning
Periodic review of your IT systems helps with budgeting and keeps your organization tuned in to trends and improvements that may be beneficial. CompuWorks will facilitate an annual review of your technology and help map out a strategy for the upcoming year. The end product is a written report detailing recommendations as well as suggesting potential products and estimating costs.
